About Limassol

Limassol is the second largest city located on the southern coast of Cyprus and the last few years has met great development.

Amathus was an ancient city and one of the ancient royal cities of Cyprus until about 300BC. Some of its impressive remains can be seen today in Limassol, in Agios Tychonas.

When visiting Limassol, is worth visiting the old castle area at the old harbour, in the heart of the historical centre of Limassol. Around the area there, visitors can enjoy restaurants and bars, along with a walk around the area to the new Limassol marina. Limassol marina is considered to be amongst the most significant and expensive marinas in the wider Mediterranean area.

Between the city and the sea, Molos is more than a promenade; it’s an eye-catching seaside park that stretches from the Old Port to the zoo. Molos turns a seaside walk into an art-form, as together with playgrounds, rows of palm trees, cafes and benches, there are water features, lawns and sculptures to saunter past. On Sundays Limassol’s locals will come to Molos for a family stroll, and if you like you can rent a bike for a few hours to pedal your way along this sophisticated strip of the city’s waterfront.

For shopping lovers, visitors can enjoy their shopping at the famous Anexartisias street or at one of the shopping centres "MyMall Limassol".
